Our Team – Profile

3fingers surf zinc supports the sun protection of several local water enthusiasts who share the same values. Here’s our first profile on a local grom Phoenix. Of course, who doesn’t love a sticker on their board anyway!

 Name: Phoenix Irvine Age: 10 Stance: Natural

Current Board: 5’0 thruster by local shaper Dwayne Jefferson (Real Surf Equipment)

 Local break: We go from East End to Merewether and everywhere in between Favourite roadie: Crescent Head especially now that it’s only three hours’ drive, it’s our regular winter family holiday location

Sunrise or sunset: I’m definitely a before school surfer and I catch the train to school so it’s always early

Pre-surf ritual: Everyone thinks I sleep in my wetsuit and zinc because my brothers and I always arrive at the beach ready to go

 Best surf: My first-time surfing at Angourie Point - it’s a natural paradise. And daylight-saving summer nights riding a long board at The Spit where you feel like you are on holidays because no one else is there

What do you like best about 3Fingers Natural ZINC: that is stays on so I can surf for longer and at the end it doesn’t feel like trying to remove concrete off my face

How do you repurpose 3Fingers ZINC tin: my little brother uses it as a money tin for his school bag

What do you do when you’re not surfing: I also play water polo in summer, learn guitar and do a bit of screen acting (TV commercials give me a board kitty)?
